I did an unscientific test and determined that 50 ml of canola oil will burn for approximately 12 hours. I think that's a pretty darn good deal.

Regarding burn time - this weekend I accidentally left this burning on my desk in a small (5

I bought these for a get together we were having in the evening. I had found on pinterest how to make mason jar floating candles. I did this during the holidays and inside the mason jar I put a few small pinecones, some holly berry sprigs...some twigs, spruce tree sprigs and such, I made 10 of these candles and all were a bit different. Then I filled almost full with water with some coconut oil on the top and place this round wick in the center and lit. They looked stunning and I forgot to take pictures. These are round wicks and they come with about 50 in a box. These are floating wicks.

I love these floating disks. I have been using for 2-3 years now, for my meditation practice. They are far more economical than using candles. The only criticism I could possibly conjure up is that once in a great while, the wick is a tad loose in the hold in the disk....but that is not the norm at all. So...I will always be a loyal customer, good idea for a stocking stuffer for people who like candle light for any reason. I use jelly glasses with the oil and water, perfect. Thank you for a great and reasonably priced product.

I bought these Ner Mitzvah Round Floating Wicks - Approx. 50 Pcs. - 1 Pack
and Paskesz Floating Wicks - Petilits With Stopper, 50/Pack
to compare the difference.
The Ner Mitzvah Round Floating Wicks - Approx. 50 Pcs are a much better value than the Paskesz Floating Wicks - Petilits With Stopper, 50/Pack
They are worth the extra $0.25 it's a much better value.

These wicks are perfect! Fully adjustable lengths allow the right flame height for your needs.

Some of the holes in the boards are slightly big. Simple fix, trim wick as usual, bend wick after inserting through hole and voila, no slipping.

Also, to the other reviews complaining about various problems...use your heads!

Lights your kitchen on fire...nope. DON'T USE KEROSENE!!! ud83eudd14

Won't float after couple uses?...Have been able to get at least a week of use out of just one wick. Ever stop to think why they stop floating? They're saturated from the oil. Rest the saturated wick on fork, light the wick, let burn on fork about one minute = no longer saturated. Use chop sticks to place lit wick on oil, or extinguish, let cool and place on oil to light.

Leaves too much oil after self-extinguishing?...Trim the part of the wick which is touching oil to 1/8 inch. The shorter the better! Zero oil left in holder. The only drawback to this approach is the absence of oil will most likely cause the entire wick to burn at the end of use (no self-extinguishing if there is no oil ud83dudca1). I'm sure this could lead to someone lighting their kitchen on fire. Better to have self-extinguishing and a little extra oil than...

Initially, I was looking for Serbian Orthodox lumens/wicks. but those are generally difficult to find and more expensive. I decided to take a chance on these; they are reasonably priced and work well, with each wick coming with it's own metal floater (most Orthodox ones that I've used do not come with the metal floater- usually, it comes in two parts). These work well and last for a sufficiently long time provided one has enough oil for whatever the floater is being used for (spirits of the dead, other religious festivals, etc).

GREAT PRODUCT, FAST SHIPPING, THEY LAST FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS WHICH I COULD'NT BELIEVE WHEN I SAW HOW SMALL THEY ARE, I JUST USED THEM IN A CONTAINER WITH WATER AND A TINY AMOUNT OF VEGETABLE OR OLIVE OIL FOR THE WICK TO ABSORB THE OIL. FOR THEM TO FLOAT. I LOVE THAT YOU CAN USE THEM IN ANY METAL JAR COVER OR ANY GLASS, CLAY, METAL OR CERAMIC CUP, MUG, BOWL, VOTIVE HOLDER, VASE, ANYTHING AND STILL REUSE THE CONTAINER FOR OTHER PURPOSE AFTER, NO MESSY WAX TO CLEAN UP!

These would be fine for a shallow holder. We tried to use in mason jars for wedding reception and they kept floating to the side of jars and cracked them from the heat.
